Sinn Fein will contest the both North Central and South Central at the next General Election. Cllr. Jonathan O Brien will be the candidate in Cork North Central while Henry Cremin will contest the election in Cork South Central.

2004 Local Elections

At the 2004 local elections, Sinn Fein ran candidates in all 6 City wards as well Passage West Town Council. The party also contested the Blarney and Carrigaline electoral wards. Sinn Fein won 2 seats, one each in North West and North East. The party was also less than 50 votes from taking seats in the North Central and South Central wards. Henry Cremin, despite taking a huge vote, missed out on a seat in South West by less than 100 votes.
